Bike to Canada Day 2026 — Free Bike Corral and Pop-Up Protected Lanes

Pop-Up Protected Bike Lanes

Two temporary cycling routes will be in place on July 1st, coordinated by the City of Sarnia and nuSarnia

Michigan Avenue (Blackwell to Indian Road): A protected temporary bike lane will be set up beginning at 7:30 a.m. and remain in place until approximately 4:30 p.m. The section of Michigan between Indian Road and Colborne will also feature newly installed permanent bike lanes, providing added continuity along this corridor.

Front Street (London Road to Exmouth Street): Front Street will be fully closed to vehicle traffic by 9:00 a.m. and will remain closed throughout the day and evening until after the fireworks. This closure connects directly to the multi-use path on the Point Edward side, offering a seamless, car-free route into the park.
